the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024.
At 16:10 on 1 January 2024, there was a magnitude 7.6 (preliminary) earthquake in the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
Many roads are reported to be sinking or collapsing. Rescue operations in the affected areas have been delayed because of these problems.
We wish our deepest sympathies to all people who are staying at home or in shelters in the cold winter days.
We also pray for you to rebuild the region with great strength.

We will hold an art workshop in collaboration with the welfare office for the disabled in Sakae Ward. At this event, everyone will decorate the huge dragon skeleton with the motif of the relief of the dragon in Taya Caves, and at a later date, it will be exhibited privately for one night only in the Satoyama of Taya Caves (the situation will be released on Youtube). !! In addition, we will hold an exhibition of VR teaching materials for learning the Taya Caves created by researchers at the University of Tokyo, and a cave guided tour (charged) for the first time in a long time! Cave guided tour (charged) Apply for participation from the dedicated form!
The tour will be held in two parts. The capacity of one tour is the first 7 people. We will pick you up at the departure and arrival in front of Hongodai station. Local dissolution is possible, but you cannot get off the train on the way. This time, in consideration of safety in the cave, participation is limited to elementary school students and above.
