Wishing a quick and complete recovery to the all victims of
the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024.
At 16:10 on 1 January 2024, there was a magnitude 7.6 (preliminary) earthquake in the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
Many roads are reported to be sinking or collapsing. Rescue operations in the affected areas have been delayed because of these problems.
We wish our deepest sympathies to all people who are staying at home or in shelters in the cold winter days.
We also pray for you to rebuild the region with great strength.

At YNU's Graduate School of Urban Innovation as an exercise assignment class,
We studied regional planning to create some of new identities and a future for Taya Cave and its surroundings (Taya Town, Nagaodai Town, Kanai Town, Kohjak Town, etc.).
What kind of place is Satoyama?
What is the potential of rural areas next to urban areas (suburban rural areas)?
studentsthrough the world war
Through fieldwork, architecture students conducted a study of local planning around Taya Town, identifying current local issues in Taya Cave.
This study for community development was linked to
an exercise class for first-year postgraduate students at Yokohama National University and third-year undergraduate students in the Department of Architecture.
The project started by experiencing the difficulties of managing a satoyama through an overnight stay in a satoyama. With the cooperation of Chishu Primary School, we borrowed a classroom and conducted a hearing survey with the Chosei-kai ( elderly people's association) in Taya town.
The proposal is to revive the festival ('Omikoshi') as a community event.
